North Bristol Counselling
Serving Bristol & South Gloucestershire
Hello, my name is Jess
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor supporting clients in North Bristol and South Gloucestershire

I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind — whether that's a specific difficulty you're facing, or simply a feeling that something isn't quite right.
I work in a person-centred and relational way, which means that you are always at the heart of our work together. I won't tell you what to do or offer quick fixes. Instead, I'll listen carefully, help you make sense of your experiences, and support you to find your own way forward — at a pace that feels right for you.
My Specialisms
I work with a wide range of issues, and have particular experience supporting people through:
-
Bereavement and loss — including complicated grief and sudden loss
-
Trauma and abuse — providing a sensitive, carefully paced space to process difficult experiences
-
Supporting carers — acknowledging the emotional weight that often goes unrecognised
-
Anxiety, low mood, and general unease — when something feels wrong but is hard to name
-
Life transitions and relationship difficulties — navigating change, identity, and connection
My Qualifications
I am a BACP Accredited counsellor (member number 244383), which means I have met the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's rigorous standards for training, experience, and ongoing professional development. I am bound by their ethical framework, so you can be confident that your sessions are held to the highest professional standards.
I continue to develop my practice through regular clinical supervision and ongoing training.
Working Together
Taking the step to seek counselling can feel daunting, and choosing the right counsellor matters. I offer an initial session where you can ask any questions, get a feel for how we might work together, and decide — with no pressure — whether you'd like to continue.
I currently offer face-to-face, telephone, and online counselling via Zoom, giving you flexibility to access support in the way that works best for you.
If you'd like to find out more, please don't hesitate to get in touch — I'm happy to have an informal chat before you commit to anything.
